Cybersecurity analyst or information security analysts play a defensive and passive role in the security of systems. It is their job to identify vulnerabilities, repair them, implement recovery plans and anything else that basically protects a system.

Cybersecurity professionals report an average salary of $116,000, or approximately $55.77 per hour. That's nearly three times the national median income for full-time wage and salary workers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics," said Kenneth Corbin. The salary varies from each company, but experienced workers generally get paid more than a newly employed worker.
